We won’t learn any more of the mysteries of Southold, after ABC elected to cancel Emergence, but we will be returning to Portland for more cases for Dex Parios in Stumptown.

Emergence piloted on NBC, but was picked up for a 13 episode run last season by ABC. The show never really gained the audience numbers it sought, despite a strong cast and support from members of the genre community.

Stumptown, starring Cobie Smulders as private investigator Dex Parios, has been picked up for a second run. The show is currently running on Alibi in the UK (read our interview with star Jake Johnson here)
