Doctors from the 1970s to the 2020s will be appearing in the BBC’s Big Night tonight, April 23rd.
Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, Jo Martin and Jodie Whittaker have all recorded a thank you to frontline NHS staff for the programme. It’s expected that their segment will air shortly before the 8 pm Clap for Carers. (EDITED: It was bumped by a Blackadder segment, and aired around 8.30 p.m.)
Whitaker has been producing short films during lockdown in character as the Doctor to reassure young fans. The BBC has also been putting extra material on the website, including new stories by Steven Moffat, Paul Cornell and Joy Wilkinson, in addition to the #DoctorWhoLockdown tweetalongs organised by DWM’s Emily Cook.
