Specifically, a Mark V photon torpedo movie prop from 1994’s Star Trek Generations, the first big-screen appearance of the Star Trek: The Next Generation cast and the only time U.S.S. Enterprise captains James Tiberius Kirk and Jean-Luc Picard shared an on-screen adventure. This iconic piece of Trekkie weaponry is one of the many highlights to be found in the Entertainment & Music Memorabilia Auction, April 4-5 in Dallas, Texas, and on HA.com.
“It’s not every day any of us come across screen-used props from a Star Trek film, let alone one of the series’ most iconic weapons,” said Jon Steffens, a Valuation Specialist & Consignment Director in the Entertainment Department at Heritage Auctions. “This life-sized photon torpedo measures six feet long and would surely be one of the more impressive pieces in the collection of any Trek aficionado.”
The photon torpedo was seen in Generations aboard the Amargosa Observatory. It was part of the arsenal amassed by Malcolm McDowell’s Dr. Tolian Soran in his attempt to destroy a star and return to the Nexus, where anyone can live any life of which they dream for all eternity.
