Lyle Waggoner, who played Colonel Steve Trevor (and his son, also conveniently named Steve) in the 1970s Wonder Woman series, has died aged 84.
Waggoner appeared opposite Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman/Diana Prince throughout the run, both the World War II season and the contemporary show. Over a decade earlier, he had auditioned for the part of Batman in the TV series which eventually shot Adam West to fame as the Caped Crusader.
He also founded Star Waggons, whose motorhomes and trailers were a familiar sight on TV and film productions.
