Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

Cloak and Dagger won’t be returning for a third season, Freeform has confirmed.

Deadline broke the news: “We are so proud of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger and the trailblazing stories this series told,” Freeform told the site. “We are also grateful to our incredible talent Oliva Holt and Aubrey Joseph for bringing these beloved characters to life, and showrunner Joe Pokaski for his vision. We’d like to thank our partners at Marvel Television for a wonderful two seasons and are we are hopeful that we can find another project together.”

The cancellation isn’t unexpected, as many of the Marvel TV shows executive produced by Jeph Loeb are coming to a close with a new era starting on Disney+.

The characters will make a final appearance in an episode of Hulu’s Runaways, out in December.
