Prop Store has announced the results from the largest annual live auction of film and TV memorabilia in the UK, with items on offer fetching in excess of £5.25m ($6.4m).

Prop Store’s unique Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction, was held over two days (Monday 30th September and Tuesday 1st October 2019) at London’s BFI IMAX proudly presented by ODEON, Europe’s largest cinema group.

Hundreds of bidders from around the world gathered at the Prop Store’s live auction, which achieved outstanding results over 15 hours of exciting and intensive bidding. 900 rare and iconic lots were sold during Prop Store’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction.

Notable sales included (all figures stated are the total sale prices paid by the buyer, which include the buyer’s premium):

1.       Maximus’ Screen-Matched Roman General Armour (Russell Crowe) from GLADIATOR (2000) sold for £67,650 ($82k)

2.       Jack Torrance’s Hero Axe (Jack Nicholson) from THE SHINING (1980) sold for £172,200 ($210k)

3.       William Wallace’s Hero Claymore Sword (Mel Gibson) from BRAVEHEART (1995) sold for £61,500 ($75k)

4.       Mace Windu’s Lightsaber (Samuel L. Jackson) from STAR WARS: REVENGE OF THE SITH (2005) sold for £86,100 ($105k)

5.       Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch from MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL (1975) sold for £67,650 ($82k)

6.       Screen-Matched Tantive IV Stormtrooper Helmet from STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE (1977) sold for £159,900 ($195k)

7.       Radio-Controlled Hero Ghost Trap and Pedal from GHOSTBUSTERS (1984) sold for £186,960 ($228k)

8.       Light-Up Remote Control R2-BHD Droid from STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY (2016) sold for £135,300 ($165k)

9.       Spock’s Screen-Matched Science Officer Costume (Leonard Nimoy) from STAR TREK: THE ULTIMATE COMPUTER & THE OMEGA GLORY (TV series 1966-1969) sold for £61,500 ($75k)

10.   Riddler’s Costume (Jim Carrey) from BATMAN FOREVER (1995) sold for £27,675 ($33k)

11.   Tony Stark’s Desert Costume Display (Robert Downey Jr.) from IRON MAN (2008) sold for £14,760 ($18k)

12.   Forrest Gump’s Screen-Matched Bus Stop Nikes and Socks (Tom Hanks) from FORREST GUMP (1994) sold for £24,600 ($30k)

13.   The Terminator’s Autographed Motorcycle Jacket (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY (1991) sold for £22,140 ($27k)

14.   From Julie Dawn Cole’s (Veruca Salt) personal collection: Hero Wonka Bar from WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (1971) sold for £14,760 ($18k)

15.   Limited-Edition Olivia De Berardinis Harley Quinn Print Autographed by Margot Robbie SUICIDE SQUAD (2016) sold for £4,920 ($6k) with proceeds donated to charitable causes

16.   John McClane’s Vest, Badge and Holster Rig (Bruce Willis) from DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE (1995) sold for £30,750 ($37.5k)

17.   Catwoman’s Cowl and Costume Components (Michelle Pfeiffer) from BATMAN RETURNS (1992) sold for £27,675 ($34k)

18.   Joker’s Costume (Jack Nicholson) from BATMAN (1989) sold for £73,800 ($90k)

19.   Marty McFly’s Light-Up 2015 Nike MAGs (Michael J. Fox) from BACK TO THE FUTURE PART II (1989) sold for £65,190 ($80K)

20.   John Hammond’s Prototype Cane (Richard Attenborough) from JURASSIC PARK (1993) sold for £52,275 ($64k)

21.   Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Acceptance Letter (Daniel Radcliffe) from HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER’S STONE (2001) sold for £28,290 ($35k)

22.   Axel Foley’s ID Badge (Eddie Murphy) from BEVERLY HILLS COP (1984) sold for £15,990 ($19.5k)

23.   Luke Skywalker’s Production-Made Lightsaber (Mark Hamill) from STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE (1977) sold for £147,600 ($180k)

Some of the least expensive lots in the auction included a Willy Wonka Golden Ticket Announcement Poster from Tim Burton’s CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (2005) which sold for £738 ($895), and an Ollivander’s Large Wand Box from HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER’S STONE (2001) sold for £615 ($745).
