Aron Eisenberg, who played Nog for all seven seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space 9, has passed away aged 50.

The news was confirmed on Twitter by his wife:

An actor, filmmaker and proud father, Eisenberg appeared in various shows in the late 1980s before being cast as Nog for the DS9 pilot. He appeared in over 40 episodes, including Far Beyond the Stars and also played a Kazon on Star Trek: Voyager.
