Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

Stephen King will write the final chapter of CBS All Access’ new version of his classic novel, The Stand, to provide a new coda for Josh Boone and Ben Cavell’s script.

The announcement was made at the TCAs, where casting for the show was also revealed.

James Marsden will portray Stu Redman, with Amber Heard as Nadine Cross. Odessa Young will play Frannie Goldsmith, with Henry Zaga as Nick Andros. At present there’s no announcement as to who’s playing either of the two key roles – Mother Abigail and Randall Flagg.
