Two of the four books that were originally planned to appear tied in to the 2009 Star Trek movie will finally see print next year.

Alan Dean Foster’s The Order of Peace and David Mack’s More Beautiful than Death will be released (with some suitable updating by their authors) will come out in April and August next year respectively. The other two books – by Greg Cox and Christopher Bennett – are not on the schedule; elements of these have been repurposed by the authors into other works.

Una McCormack will pen The Last Best Hope, the first book to tie in to the new Star Trek: Picard series released in February, with Picard: Countdown coming from IDW from November.

Bennett and Dayton Ward are both writing original series novels: Bennett’s The Higher Frontier will come out in March, and Ward’s Agents of Influence in June.

Kirsten Beyer’s latest Voyager novel is expected to appear next year, as is another Discovery novel from John Jackson Miller.
