Star Trek: Discovery will return for its third season 1,000 years after the 23rd century setting of the first two years, with portions of the season shot in Iceland. A new character, Cleveland Booker, aka Book, will be joining the show, played by Nightflyers’ David Ajala. There’s no date set for the show’s return.
Star Trek: Lower Decks will include Tandy Newsome and Jack Quaid in the cast. Newsome is the no nonsense Ensign Mariner, Quaid is the by the book Ensign Boimler. Noel Wells, Eugene Cordero, Fred Tatsciore, Dawnn Lewis and Gillian Vigman are also voicing characters for the show, set on the Cerritos, a California-class ship. Star Trek author David Mack recently confirmed that he is acting as a consultant on this show and another, as yet unannounced series.
The biggest surprises were left for Star Trek: Picard. It was confirmed that Jonathan Frakes, Jonathan del Arco, Brent Spiner and Jeri Ryan will be reprising their roles from the 20th century Star Trek series – Will Riker, Hugh the Borg, Data (who sacrificed himself at the end of Star Trek Nemesis) and Seven of Nine.
And there’s new adventures for Pike, Number One and Spock in the new Short Treks:
