Robert McCammon’s historical tales featuring “problem solver” Matthew Corbett may be on its way to FX.
Stephen Susco is adapting Speaks the Nightbird, the story that introduced Corbett as he investigates a potential witch in the America of the 17th century, according to a report at Deadline. There have been seven books so far in the Corbett series, with the most recent, Cardinal Black, published earlier this year, and another in preparation.
Wolper Organization’s Mark Wolper, Kevin Matusow for The Traveling Picture Show Company, Shay Prentice and Kevin Nicklaus will produce the potential series.
