Blake’s 7 star Paul Darrow has died aged 78.

Best known for his role as Kerr Avon, which he played in the TV series from 1978-81 and then again for many years for Big Finish, Darrow studied at RADA and appeared in many series in the 1960s to 1980s, including Doctor Who, opposite both Jon Pertwee and Colin Baker. He wrote four novels featuring his character from Blake’s 7, and was a great proponent of both the show and his character.
