Stephen King’s novel The Long Walk – originally published as by “Richard Bachman” – is heading to the screen at last, courtesy of The Autopsy of Jane Doe’s André Øvredal, according to Deadline.
The novel first appeared in 1979 and is based around the simple premise that there can only be one survivor of a Long Walk – and drop below 4 mph average speed more than three times and you’re dead.
The screenplay is by James Vanderbilt; there’s no news on cast as yet.
