British actor Edward Kelsey, who played both Colonel K and his nemesis Baron Greenback in the original Danger Mouse series among many other roles, has died aged 88.
Best known for playing Joe Grundy on the Radio 4 serial The Archers, Kelsey made three appearances in the classic series of Doctor Who (The Romans, The Power of the Daleks and The Creature from the Pit) and one of his last roles was voicing Mr Growbag for the Wallace & Grommit movie, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. His other work with Cosgrove Hall included The Wind in the Willows and Truckers. He also appeared in The Avengers and The New Avengers, Doomwatch and The Tripods.
