James Gunn has been reinstated as the director of Guardians of the Galaxy volume 3.

He will now direct the Marvel movie after completing work on the Suicide Squad sequel. He had been fired after historical tweets came to light, but he apologised for them, and the cast of the highly successful franchise backed him up.

As yet there’s no confirmed date for Volume 3.
