Merlin star Santiago Cabrera and Blindspot’s Michelle Hurd are beaming on board Patrick Stewart’s new Picard series.
The show, set decades after Picard’s last appearance in Star Trek: Nemesis, will be shooting in California this summer for a late 2019 release on CBS All Access. Hanelle Culpepper will direct the first two episodes of the series. No definite details have been given about the roles Cabrera and Hurd will play, although Deadline speculates the former will be Picard’s pilot, while Hurd will play an intelligence officer who has drug and alcohol abuse issues.
