British screen writer Graeme Curry, best known to genre fans for his Sylvester McCoy era Doctor Who story The Happiness Patrol, died on February 24.

Doctor Who script editor Andrew Cartmel posted the news on Twitter:

Curry was a singer and actor as well as a writer, and contributed scripts to The Bill and EastEnders, as well as writing the novelisation of The Happiness Patrol for Target Books.
