That’s what little has been released about the Game of Thrones prequel from Jane Goldman and George R.R. Martin that HBO have ordered to pilot, and in which it has been confirmed Naomi Watts will be starring. She will play “a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret”.

The series will follow the world’s Golden Age as it descends into the darkness seen in the parent series. No date for broadcast has yet been given. Watts is best known for her work with David Lynch as well as Peter Jackson’s King Kong.
