Mark Morris’ short story collection New Fears and Dirk Maggs’ adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s Anansi Boys were honoured at the British Fantasy Awards, held at the conclusion of FantasyCon in Chester on October 21.
Other winners included Unsung Stories as Best Small Press; Jeanette Ng as Best Newcomer; Luna Press Publishing’s Gender Identity and Sexuality in SFF for Best Non-Fiction; Alan Love for Best Artist; Joe Hill’s Strange Weather for Best Collection; Laura Mauro’s Looking for Laika as Best Short Story; Shoreline of Infinity for Best Magazine; Ellen Klages’ Passing Strange for Best Novella; Victor LaValle’s The Changeling for Best Horror; and Jen Williams for Best Novel.
