There could be up to 10 more years of tales from the Walking Dead universe, according to plans revealed by AMC.

“The Walking Dead universe and the apocalypse … is a subject that has an eternal quality to it, because it’s about how society organizes itself,” says AMNC’s Josh Sapan at #GSCommunacopia. “We have a plan to manage it over the next decade plus … a very careful plan.”

The parent series is entering its ninth season shortly, with the departure of at least one more main character already revealed, and a time jump of a year from the end of the previous season.
