The Handmaid’s Tale didn’t replicate its Emmy success for its second year, but Game of Thrones continued its return winning streak at the Emmys held on September 17.

In addition to the awards it won at the Creative Emmys last week, the HBO show took home two further honours for Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Peter Dinklage. Westworld’s Thandie Newton took Best Outstanding Actress, and Black Mirror’s writers, William Bridger and Charlie Brooker, won the Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special.

Elsewhere, pickings were slim for genre fans, with The Americans and The Crown both receiving multiple awards.
