British actress Jacqueline Pearce, best known for playing Supreme Commander Servalan on Blake’s 7, has died, aged 74.

Pearce appeared in many other genre productions, besides Blake’s 7, including opposite Colin Baker in the 1985 story The Two Doctors, and in Hammer films The Reptile and Plague of the Zombies. Other roles included Moondial and Dark Season, created by Russell T Davies. She was also a well respected stage actress.
