Famed British designer Michael Pickwoad has died, aged 73.

The creator of the TARDIS console rooms for the 11th and 12th Doctors was also responsible for many other sets during his time as production designer on series 7 to 10 of Doctor Who. Pickwoad designed many films for the Children’s Film Foundation, as well as other movies including Paul McGann’s Withnail & I, as well as TV series such as Jekyll.
