Lock up your cats! ALF – the 1980s comedy series about a wisecracking alien from the planet Melmac with a penchant for eating felines – is set to return.

Warner Bros. are working on a reboot of the character created by Tom Patchett and Paul Fusco with ALF set to create havoc in a new household. No network is yet linked to the new version.

The original series finished on a cliffhanger as ALF was captured by the authorities; a TV movie, Project ALF, did not lead to further adventures.
