DC Universe fans received more insight into the channel’s plans at Comic Con on July 19.

Greg Berlanti is adding another drama to his live action comic book slate, with Geoff Johns writing and producing Stargirl. The 13 episode series will premiere in 2019. Johns created the character for DC in 1999, naming her after his sister who was killed three years earlier. The TV version will follow high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore, who inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. The show reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in what’s described as a fun, exciting and unpredictable series.

At an earlier panel, the trailer for DC Universe’s Titans was unveiled, which comes with an adult-only warning.
