Mr Mercedes’ Jack Bender and Marty Bowen are working on a small screen adaptation of Stephen King’s latest novel, The Outsider.

Richard Price will be writing at least the opening episode of the proposed 10 part version with Bender possibly directing the pilot.

The story follows the arrest of coach Terry Maitland for an horrendous crime – but he seems to have the perfect alibi. (Read our review here). Media Rights Capital have gained the option and will prepare the series before selling it to a network.
