Separately the showrunners of both The Librarians and The Exorcist have confirmed that their shows will not be returning.

Dean Devlin, head honcho of the TNT show, posted:

Sad news. After multiple negotiations at several different networks, we’ve been unsuccessful at moving #TheLibrarians to a new home. Unfortunately that means season 4 was our last season.

Jeremy Slater, executive producer of Fox’s The Exorcist, replied to a query from a fan wondering if the show could be picked up on a streaming network:

It’s unlikely. The studio tried to find a new home for the show, but it didn’t pan out. At this point, the cast & crew have been released from their contracts, and many have already signed on to new projects (myself included). Sadly, I think it’s probably the end of the road. https://t.co/h6UpWer2Hx
