Class has a new lease of life – on audio, courtesy of Big Finish.

Subscription copies of the new Doctor Who Magazine have been arriving early, and confirm the rumours that two new box sets of Class adventures will be released in August, reuniting the cast.

Grey Austin, Fady Elsayed, Sophie Hopkins, Vivian Oparah and Jordan Renzo play the students at Coal Hill Academy, with Katherine Kelly returning as Miss Quinn. Sophie Aldred will also be guest starring as Ace in the set and the Daleks will be appearing.

The six stories are by Roy Gill, Jenny T Colgan, Scott Handcock, Tom Foley, Tim Leng and Guy Adams, and directed by Handcock. Music will be by the series’ TV composer (and regular Big Finish contributor) Blair Mowat.

The new stories take place during the TV run – they are not resolving the cliffhanger.
