Mermaid drama Siren will be back for a second season.

Freeform have given a further order to the show, which is running on Syfy in the UK. The new season will comprise 16 episodes – compared with 10 for the first. Eline Powell will return as Ryn, a mermaid whose arrival in the town of Bristol Cove, proves old legends to have far more truth than was believed.
