Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD will return for a sixth year – the only Marvel Cinematic Universe TV show on one of the main networks.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, this will be only be for 13 episodes, rather than the standard 22, but will allow the creators to tie off the various plotlines – just in time for the whole MCU to reset with the fourth Avengers movie next May. Marvel’s own press release confirming the pick-up does not reference the number of episodes.
