Fox has given a series order to the adaptation of Justin Cronin’s epic vampire SF tale The Passage.

The show centres around 10 year old Amy Bellafonte (played by Saniyya Sidney) chosen to be a test subject in an experiment with a dangerous virus, and federal agent Brad Wolgast (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) who tries to protect her. Elements of the pilot have been reshot with cast changes. The Exorcist’s Jason Ensler directed the new footage, and The Passage also features that show’s first season star Brianne Howey.
