Gabriel Luna, who played Robbie Reyes aka the Ghost Rider on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, has been cast as the new Terminator for the 2019 reboot of the series.

Luna will appear opposite Natalia Reyes, who plays Dani, who’s described as “a young woman from a working class neighbourhood in Mexico City” who’s caught between men and machines. Scream Queens’ Diego Boneta will play her brother. Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger will provide continuity to the original iteration of the franchise, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, they’re not expected to be playing major roles in the story.

James Cameron is producing the new movie, with Tim Miller directing. It’s set for a November 2019 release.
