There’ll be a few changes in front of and behind the cameras when NBC returns to Midnight, Texas.

The supernatural series, based on the trilogy by Charlaine Harris, has finally got a second season pick up but Monica Owusu-Breen won’t be showrunning the new year. Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder will be picking up the reins as Breen heads off to other projects.

Two castmembers also won’t be back: Sarah Ramos and Yul Vasquez, who played Creek and the Reverend respectively, may make guest star appearances, but will no longer be regulars.

“I am stoked at the prospect of a second season of Midnight, Texas,” Harris told Deadline. “I can’t wait to revisit my favourite town to discover what its inhabitants have been up to the past few months. Now the viewers, who’ve been asking me questions daily, will have their reward.”
