Following the success of The Daemons of Devil’s End, Reeltime Pictures are producing a new Doctor Who spin-off drama to be released later this year.
Anomaly will be released in November this year and will star Sophie Aldred, Miles Richardson, Beverley Cressman and newcomer to the team Tom Chapman. It will be a sequel to earlier Reeltime release, Daemos Rising and the Doctor Who story The Time Monster. It will also feature an adult Gordon “Gordy” Lethbridge-Stewart.
According to the pre-release description on Amazon:
Gordon “Gordy” Lethbridge-Stewart thought he had left the world of his grandfather behind him. As a research scientist, all he was interested in was developing new technologies.
Unfortunately, what he doesn’t know is that retired UNIT operative Captain Douglas Cavendish has given him alien technology to develop his ideas with … and that leads to a great deal of trouble indeed!
Trouble that forces Kate Lethbridge-Stewart to make a life or death choice! Time itself is being manipualted and it’s already run out more than once!
Telos Publishing’s David J. Howe has confirmed that Stephen James Walker will be writing the novelisation for the company, which will hopefully be in a “Target”-like edition, to match The Daemons of Devil’s End.
At an event in Derby, Keith Barnfather also confirmed that a comic-strip version of Olive Hawthorne’s life, adding to the tales related in The Daemons of Devil’s End, is in preparation. A collectors’ edition eight page comic will be released on Free Comic Book Day, with the full first issue following later in the year.
