Lennie James will be appearing on The Walking Dead prequel Fear the Walking Dead next season, the actor has confirmed.
It doesn’t mean that he’s leaving the main show. “Even though Morgan is going to be featured on Fear, he has a lot of story left on The Walking Dead,” showrunner Scott M. Gimple explained in a statement read out on companion series Talking Dead on Sunday. “Morgan’s arc on The Walking Dead Season 8 positioned him for the story on Fear. It was also important to see Fear‘s world and characters through new yet familiar eyes.”
Fear the Walking Dead’s fourth season, the first under new showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, will be filming in Austin, Texas, and is expected to air next summer.
