One of the best – but often overlooked – British science fiction series of the 1970s is finally available to buy: 1990, created by Wilfred Greatorex, stars Edward Woodward as journalist Jim Kyle, and thanks to those lovely people at Simply Media, we have a set of the entire series to give away.
Britain, 1990. The country is run by the Home Office’s all-powerful Public Control Department, who monitor and control society with rationing and restricting individual rights to protect the country against all threats. Only Jim Kyle, journalist for one of the last independent papers, can fight back.
