The BBC has released the first image of Jodie Whittaker in character as the Doctor, in preparation for her arrival in the Christmas Special, Twice Upon A Time.

The image also depicts the latest version of the TARDIS’ exterior Police Box shell.

Filming has begun on Series 11, which is expected to air in the autumn of 2018. It will comprise ten episodes of 50 minutes, overseen by new Head Writer Chris Chibnall.
