CBS All Access has renewed the latest Star Trek TV series for a second season.
“In just six episodes, Star Trek: Discovery has driven subscriber growth, critical acclaim and huge global fan interest for the first premium version of this great franchise,” Marc DeBevoise, president and chief operating officer at CBS Interactive explained. “This series has a remarkable creative team and cast who have demonstrated their ability to carry on the Star Trek legacy. We are extremely proud of what they’ve accomplished and are thrilled to be bringing fans a second season of this tremendous series.”
No details have yet been given with regard to the central plotline of the second year, although the original anthology plan for the series has been dropped.
What does anthology plan mean?
Yours in stupidity,
David
The original intention was each season was a standalone story, set at different times in the Star Trek timeline – so this season is 2256, the next might be 2375 etc.
