Michael Ellenberg’s Media Res and Bron Studios will be adapting the 1981 David Cronenberg film Scanners for TV, according to Deadline.

At present, they don’t have a writer or showrunner attached to the project, but Deadline suggests that they will be shopping the product to premium services. There have been various attempts to bring the concept to television before but none has gone very far.
