Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor will reappear in the new Terminator trilogy being planned by James Cameron.
Speaking at a celebration of the Terminator franchise, Cameron said, “As meaningful as she was to gender and action stars everywhere back then, it’s going to make a huge statement to have that seasoned warrior that she’s become return.” He added, “There are 50-year-old guys, 60-year-old guys, out there killing bad guys but there isn’t an example of that for women.”
The new film will be directed by Deadpool’s Tim Miller, from a story by Cameron. The trilogy is being prepared by a writers’ room that includes David Goyer, Chris Eglee, Justin Rhodes and Josh Friedman.
