The recent auction held by the Doctor Who Appreciation Society raised considerably more funds than originally estimated in aid of Syrian refugees.

According to the Society’s Paul Winter, “After eBay fees etc we raised £5,830 which after Gift Aid will rise to over £7,200. The money will help Muswell Hill Methodist Church support Syrian Refugees in North London where Peter and Elaine Capaldi support one of the project teams.” Winter told Sci-FI Bulletin, “We always knew that the items supplied by Peter Capaldi would be popular, particularly his read through script for ‘Listen’ but the actual amount raised has really knocked everyone for six. Fans can be very generous and Mr Capaldi is very pleased.”
