Drew Goddard will be writing and directing the latest X-Men movie, X-Force, which will see Deadpool and Cable leading a “down and dirty” bunch of mutants.

Goddard is currently working on Bad Times at the El Royale but will move over to X-Force once that is complete. Ryan Reynolds is expected to reprise the role of Deadpool (particularly as he is one of the film’s producers, alongside Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shulder Donner) with Josh Brolin as Cable. It’s not yet been revealed which other mutants will appear but Shatterstar, Domino and Feral are all possibilities, based on the original comic book.
