The Hangover’s Todd Phillips will be co-writing a Joker origin movie for Warner Bros.
However it seems as if the new film, to be co-written with Scott Silver, won’t be a vehicle for Jared Leto’s Joker, seen in the Suicide Squad movie last year; according to multiple reports, it’s set in Gotham in the 1980s and will feature a new lead. Martin Scorsese may be involved, but sources differ on the extent.
