It seems as if rumours of a solo Ben Kenobi movie may be true after all, with news that Stephen Daldry is in discussions with Disney to oversee a project focusing on Anakin and Luke’s mentor.

The Billy Elliot director would work with senior Lucasfilm personnel on the movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Ewan McGregor, who played the character in the first three episodes of the Star Wars saga, has said he would be willing to reprise the role.
