Although CBS All Access are showing the series in the US, Netflix has rights to the new Star Trek series Discovery for all countries outside North America, and they were the ones to release the trailer for the show that was premiered at San Diego.

The panel also revealed various pieces of information regarding the show, including the fact that lead character Michael Burnham has Sarek and Amanda as surrogate parents while she is on Vulcan (not that Amanda is Burnham’s mother!), and that Jeff Russo will be composing the music for the show.
