Marvel’s small screen invasion of Comic-Con wasn’t confined to The Inhumans trailer (see here) – there was plenty on show from the Netflix series, including, for those there, a preview of the first episode of The Defenders as well as a new trailer featuring many old friends.
“Let’s face it — we have a guy who was in a bad Ben Affleck movie, a character no one had ever heard of who drinks a lot, the first black superhero and a guy with a glowing fist,” Executive Producer Jeph Loeb pointed out to the audience.

A trailer was also shown for The Punisher series, but that’s not yet been released by Marvel.
Marvel also confirmed the belated renewal for Iron Fist, after the first series on Netflix was not particularly well received. Raven Metzner will be stepping up as showrunner for the second year. “Raven’s love of all things Iron Fist and his extensive knowledge of martial arts films made him the perfect choice to continue telling the adventures of Danny Rand and Colleen Wing,” Loeb said. “Season One and The Defenders are only the beginning of this fantastic action packed tale.” The second year will see Colleen Wing and Misty Knight working together.
Away from Netflix, FOX’s The Gifted also showed a new extended trailer prior to the show’s launch in October.
“Thanks to Days of Future Past there are many streams and we are not in the same timeline in the X-universe,” Matt Nix clarified. “As in the comics and universe, the idea is that we are doing our own thing.” Lauren Shuler confirmed, however, that there is not going to be a crossover between The Gifted and Legion.
