As ever, Marvel revealed a great deal of new information at the San Diego Comic Com, including a new trailer for Thor Ragnarok.
Thor star Chris Hemsworth admitted he’d got bored playing the character, but the new film was designed to push him – and as the trailer shows, things are rather different this time around. “It’s been four years since the end of [the second Thor film] and when Thor returns it’s a very different Asgaard,” Tom Hiddleston explained. “The kingdom is in shambles given Loki’s questionable alliances, particularly with Ragnarok.”
The Ant-Man sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, has added Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne to the cast, with Pfeiffer playing Janet Van Dyne, the wife of Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym, while Fishburne will be Bill Foster, aka Giant Man. The movie will also feature the Ghost, an industrial saboteur from the Iron Man comics.
Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel will be working with Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury – but as the movie is set in the 1990s, he will still have both eyes. The film will see Marvel battling the Skrulls, a long running alien menace from the Andromeda Galaxy.
