Peter Capaldi’s time as the Doctor – and Steven Moffat’s tenure as Head Writer – is ending in style.
The Christmas Special which will introduce Jodie Whittaker’s 13th Doctor is entitled Twice Upon a Time, and sees Capaldi team up with David Bradley’s First Doctor and Mark Gatiss’ as yet unnamed First World War Army Captain (described as a character from Doctor Who lore) as something appears to be wrong with time. Watch the trailer carefully and you can see at least two returning companions…
Doctor Who: Twice Upon a Time is expected to be aired on Christmas Day.
The ComicCon debut of the trailer was accompanied by a video retrospective of Peter Capaldi’s time as the Time Lord, which can be seen below.
