Sense8 fans are rejoicing after Lana Wachowski announced that the show would be returning for a two-hour movie in 2018.

The news was announced on the show’s Twitter feed with a letter from Wachowski, who noted the show’s “cancellation hollowed me out”. The two-hour special is being regarded as a series finale by many including co-creator J. Michael Straczynski (“It’s great to have a 1-shot 2-hour to wrap it up”), but Wachowski was more optimistic, “After that… if this experience has taught me anything, you NEVER know.”

Netflix noted, “Death doesn’t let you say goodbye. 2 hour finale episode in the works. Tell your cluster”
