Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

Carrie star Sissy Spacek is renewing her acquaintance with the worlds of Stephen King in the new Hulu TV series Castle Rock.

Spacek will play Ruth Deaver, estranged adoptive mother of Henry (Andre Holland), a retired professor whose fading memories may hold a key to Castle Rock’s unsettling past.

She will be joined on the show by Jane Levy (Suburgatory, Don’t Breathe) who will play Jackie, the death-obsessed, self-appointed historian of Castle Rock.

Described as “a psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland”, Castle Rock is produced by Bad Robot TV, developed by Sam Shaw & Dustin Thomason.
